Nancy Fechnay is an accomplished founder, investor, and mentor. Nancy was a MP at Alumni Ventures and founding Partner of Flight Ventures (the brainchild of Gil Penchina). Nancy launched the first AngelList syndicate in Europe in early 2015. Since then Flight has built the largest online group of investors in the world. Nancy also mentors for Techstars and the Vatican's positive impact accelerator, Laudato Si. Nancy invests in high-growth tech companies (Angel through Series A), but is most interested in working with companies that have the potential to positively impact the world through scalable technology. Nancy has been a part of the startup investing world for nine years. Starting her career in cleantech venture, Nancy has since worked for top firms, such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and GE Ventures before becoming a partner at Flight and leading her own angel deals in all things tech. Passionate about unleashing one’s true potential through the power of community and sharing life’s highs and lows, Nancy co-founded The Inspire Movement with the help of Hephzi Pemberton and Google in London in 2016. The Inspire Movement brings people together to share impactful stories of overcoming life's greatest challenges in an effort to address the overwhelming problem of mental health in the 21st century. Nancy regularly speaks at events and advises companies on how to keep adapting and growing through fast-paced change. Had my 2nd session with Nancy and as expected she delivered hard and honest feedback on my pitch deck, which is want I wanted. Nancy spent a great deal of time explaining to me what a VC looks at and want to see. If you want fluff feedback that makes you feel good Nancy is not that Mentor, but if you want feedback that helps you move forward, then Nancy is a great mentor.

Nancy did exactly what I asked her to do - she asked me the hard questions and told me where my gaps were. It's extremely hard to get access to a seasoned VC that will give you honest feedback. They're typically incentivized to save face and tell you that you're "doing great." She gave me extremely detailed feedback on my deck, narrative, and valuation.
