Industrial designer | 10+ years in hardware
New Mentor
I’m an independent industrial designer based in San Francisco, with over a decade of experience designing award-winning technology products in both consumer and enterprise hardware. I've worked with brands such as Meta, Lyft, Google, Eight Sleep, Intuitive Surgical, Roku, and more. I was previously a Partner at Bould Design, the studio behind iconic designs such as the Nest Thermostat, Roku streaming devices, and GoPro cameras. I led design work for clients both large and small, and shipped dozens of products with the team there. I love simple, elegant, functional design. I believe that the thoughtful application of technology paired with well considered user experiences can meaningfully improve people’s lives. I write regularly about design on LinkedIn and my blog, Design Things.
I run my own one-person industrial design agency where I help companies design and develop innovative technology hardware products that customers love through an efficient, adaptable process. I provide a full spectrum of design services from design concept to manufacturing support.
Bould Design is one of the top industrial design firms in Silicon Valley. They're behind iconic designs such as the Next Thermostat, GoPro cameras, and Roku streaming devices and remotes. I started as an intern and left as a Partner after almost 11 years, shipping tons of product and growing the team and business with my partners along the way. I helped create a business strategy, scale the team 3X, expand operations and marketing, create a talent development process, and drive efficiencies to impact the bottom line.
